Sam Shepherd

Sam assists in all aspects of the investment management process including research, portfolio construction, risk management, and trading. He works closely with advisors and clients to implement the portfolios aligned to their long-term goals and objectives.

He is also actively involved with internal business development initiatives and Shepherd’s Socially Responsible Investing program.

Sam joined our team in 2016 and worked initially as a client relationship manager dedicated to providing individuals, families and institutions with comprehensive client services. He holds his Series 7 registration with LPL Financial, and his Series 66 securities registration with both Shepherd Financial Partners LLC and LPL Financial. Prior to joining Shepherd, Sam worked for Ernst & Young’s Financial Services Office, providing management and risk consulting services to financial institutions. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 2014, majoring in Urban Finance and Economics. In addition, he was a member of Penn’s Varsity Rowing team and completed a senior thesis, The Economic Impact of Philadelphia’s Real Estate Tax Abatement Program.

Sam has deep roots at Shepherd Financial Partners having grown up with the firm founded by his father. He lives in Winchester with his wife Sunny and enjoys traveling and working on their new home.
